Every Part of Me is a "Powered by the Apocalypse" tabletop roleplay game which allows for any setting you wish—from high fantasy to sci-fi adventure to surreal trips—all within the mental world of an everyday person.  The game book features gorgeous character designs and illustrations from Heaven Boles.

Take on the role of a Piece, an aspect of someone’s personality, and guide your host through life’s challenges. Bounce between the real world and the mental world, known as the Soulscape, with universes unique to every game. Your host’s life will reflect into the Soulscape in strange ways–guilt becomes a swarm of parasitic monsters, stress sets fire to the gardens of thought, and so much more. Inspired by Sanders Sides, Inside Out, and psychological principles, every session transforms difficult concepts into exciting metaphors that turn the game into a factory of memorable roleplay moments.

Hosts & Soulscapes

Work through various questions to create your host as a table. You'll discuss their key identity and values, and use those as inspiration for their Soulscape. For faster gameplay, you can use one of four pre-made hosts.

Roy: A stand-up comedian who dropped out of med school to pursue his career. His Soulscape resembles his hometown.

Cande: A Midwestern teenager isolated in her small town and obsessed with Norse mythology. Her Pieces live in Little Asgard and can access nine realms of her mind.

Mary: A passionate chef who has just opened her own restaurant. The Pieces help her in the kitchen and live in a peaceful garden Soulscape.

Isaac: The child of North Korean refugees, living with his family in Brooklyn. His Soulscape takes inspiration from Cells at Work and Osmosis Jones, resembling the human body.

The Pieces

Pieces represent elements of the human spirit, managing and actualizing concepts such as morality, hunger, and passion. Every Part of Me includes ten playbooks, known as Piece Themes, representing these concepts.

The Brain: Intelligence, logic, memory. The Brain is the "smart" Piece Theme, responsible for keeping things organized and methodical.

The Heart: Emotion, relationships, connection. The Heart produces all emotion, both good and bad, and fuels relationships with the host and others.

The Creative: Imagination, drive, innovation. The Creative represents human thought, always seeking to create and bring to life their work.

The Protector: Security, comfort, hidden truth. The Protector has a responsibility to the host, the Soulscape, and the other Pieces to protect them from all harm.

The Disease: Physical, mental, emotional wounds. The Disease appears when a chronic condition plays an important role in the host's life, but they try to do good regardless.

The Worker: Stability, community, building the Soulscape. The Worker constructs and maintains the Soulscape, in both its physical and social forms.

The Repressed: Intrusion, distrust, the unwanted. The Repressed is an element of the host's identity they despise, who has freed themselves and seeks to prove their use.

The Moral: Integrity, ethics, justice. The Moral is bound to the beliefs of their host and guides Soulscape behavior by those beliefs.

The Animal: Hunger, lust, instinct. The Animal represents the basic elements of human identity, a product of millennia of survival.

The Politician: Leadership, identity, power. The Politician can represent many things, but their concept is one valued by the host as a core trait, and as such, they try to lead the Soulscape.

The Game

Pieces exist in a permanent balance between their host's world and the Soulscape. What happens to the host is reflected in the Soulscape, and events within the Soulscape can alter the host's mood and perspective. Gameplay involves maintaining the balance and tackling the challenges that appear in the host's life.

When Pieces are injured, they take one of five conditions; Rage, Terror, Grief, Shock, or Isolation. Each one replaces a player move with an alternate version, tinted by the lens of emotion. If Pieces mark all five conditions, they will Corrupt, becoming a monstrous creation wrecking havoc across the Soulscape.

Every Part of Me is designed so that every session is an adventure into the strange, revealing, and dark world of the human mind. All reference documents can be downloaded for free.
